The newly constructed KIA Motors plant in Teplička nad Váhom, Slovakia requires more than 120 cubic metre of process water per hour. The water must be supplied in high-purity quality conforming to defined quality parameters for the purpose of processing the automobile paint line. For this reason, the food water quality used is drinking quality water while all systems and components must be installed silicon free.
TEMAIKEN is the name of the ca. 34 hectares zoo near Buenos Aires. Aquaria and entire seascapes require the treatment of 1 700 m³ water per hour – this is approximately the usage of a city with 150 000 inhabitants.
A modern fully automatic neutralization plant has been realized as a last wastewater treatment step in the Heidelberg Schlossquell Brewery, newly built in 1999. Here, the neutralization of wastewater is effected by ideally integrated components of a control circuit.

Koerich water works near Luxembourg City is one of the Grand Duchy’s most important water works. A high-level tank with a volume of 15,000 m3 plus an additional 2,000 m3 was newly constructed for storage.

As partner of Herkules in Düsseldorf, ProMinent supplied the preparation station for powdery retention agents for this application.
As partner of KHD Humbold Wedag GmbH, Cologne, ProMinent supplies the polymer preparation station for powdery and liquid polymer for the production of stock solutions or working solutions of synthetic flocculants. Finished pasta products like spaetzle or tortellini are precooked in salt water. For this purpose, the dosing of a 24% saline solution is effected in industrial standard in different blanching devices. The dosing is controlled via a measurement of the inductive conductivity. The set value is about 20 mS (about 1% saline solution). When filling the plants, metered addition is done via a water meter proportionally.

Prior to the processing or selling of leaf salads it must be guaranteed that the leaf surface has been cleaned properly and the germination number on the surface is kept at a minimum. Cut surfaces and points of breakage of salad leafs are especially sensitive to micro-organism infestation and brown colouring.

In the Russian water works Kronstadt, disinfection with chlorine gas has been replaced by sodium hypochlorite. The new process was to be fully automatic and redundantly. Moreover, fluctuating raw water charges had to be respected.
Cost savings of up to 40% for chemicals used in disinfection and fresh water consumption in the Crailsheim Dairy. Using chlorine dioxide as a disinfectant replaces a considerable quantity of fresh water by using recycled vapour. The consumption of peracetic acid has likewise been considerably reduced.
